Obama to Visit Capitol Hill on Saturday to Rally Support for Health Care Bill

President Obama is planning a visit to Capitol Hill Saturday to continue face-to-face lobbying on what he called Friday a historic bid for health care reform, Fox News reported.

Obama is expected to address the House Democratic Caucus.

Speaking earlier Friday at George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., the president cast the debate over reform as a war over whether the U.S. health care system works better for the insurance companies or for consumers, and said that the bill is a "patient's bill of rights on steroids."

Obama brushed aside Republicans' election-year challenges to the bill and said it's the right thing to do.

"I don't know what impact reform will have on our poll numbers," Obama said, "But I know the impact it will have on the millions of Americans who need our help."

Democrats need 216 votes to approve the legislation in the House, and as of Friday morning, leaders were still rounding up support.
