New York - 27 Hurt In Upper East Side School Bus Accident
New York - Two dozen children were injured after a school bus collided with another vehicle on Manhattan's Upper East Side on Friday morning.
The accident happened about 11 a.m. on 63rd Street between First and Second Avenues.
Officials said 24 students and three adults suffered injuries. Seven victims were said to have suffered serious injuries.
Witnesses told CBS 2 the bus rear-ended the other vehicle.
It's not yet known which school the children attend.
An EMS unit was treating the victims on the scene. Several were seen being taken by stretcher onto ambulances.
The bus is run by Consolidated Bus Transit.
