New York - Nassau cops arrest fugitive wanted in 1993 bank robbery
New York - Nassau County cops have busted a fugitive wanted in connection with a 17-year-old bank robbery.
A bank teller and a man were arrested a few days after the March 1993 incident for conspiring to rob $240,000 that had just been delivered to the EAB bank in Lake Success by an armored car, according to Newsday.
The money was never recovered.
Police said Nadine Smith, 23, of Queens, and Norman Palmer, 21, of Baldwin, were arrested at the time.
Smith was sentenced to 4 to 12 years in prison for robbery, while Palmer, who was also convicted of the same charge, was sentenced to 6 to 12 years.
