UFO Lights Up 911 Lines In New Jersey

N.J. - A so-called UFO reportedly caused police and a local radio station to be flooded with calls.

It happened in Somerset County where the long round tube-like item was spotted high in the sky.

The Star-Ledger reported that Somerville police were flooded with phone calls.

Listeners called NJ 101.5's Dennis & Michele show about the object.  In a posting on the station Web site it was reported to be a large balloon-like toy that was accidently released by a child.

The Air Traffic Control Tower in Morristown did not have any pilot reports of the object, nor did officials at Solberg Airport in Hunterdon, Somerset Airport in Bedminster and Blairstown Airport in Warren County, according to NJ.com.

A person took video of it over Route 22.
