Intruder Falls Asleep In Rhode Island Home
An intruder broke into a Rhode Island home only to fall asleep in the hallway, WPRI reported late Friday.
Police arrested Jeremy Menard Friday after he allegedly broke a window, climbed into the building’s basement, went upstairs and went to sleep. According to police, Menard said he was a Census worker but had no identification to back up his claim. He was arraigned on breaking and entering charges and is due in court in August.
Carmine Balzano, the homeowner, said he was relieved that nothing happened to his wife in the incident. "I'm glad [Menard] didn't do anything to her, because then he would have never made it out of my house, but he didn't hurt her in any way," said Balzano.
