Con Edison: Gas Bills Dropping

Residential gas heating customers of Con Edison are about to catch a break.

The utility that services three million customers in New York City and Westchester County says customers can expect an 11.5 percent drop from last year in gas heating bills.

The savings would be about $42 per month.

Con Ed cites lower natural gas prices as the cause.

The average residential customer will pay approximately $322 per month from November to March, down from $364 during the same time last year.
