New Mikvah In India Needs Your Help

Construction on a new Mikvah in New Delhi, India has been completed last week.

Due to the fact that the rain season will only start in a few months, the local Shliach Rabbi Shmuel Scharf consulted with Chief Rabbi of Bnei Brak Moshe Landau and with a member of the Crown Heights Beis Din Rabbi Yaakov Schwei and it has been decided to fill the Mikvah with industrial ice and let it melt, and then to replace it with rain water in a few months.

The filling of the Mikvah was done under the supervision of renowned Mikvah expert Rabbi Gershon Grossbaum who flew is especially for the occasion, and oversaw the delivery and melting of the ice.

The Mikvah was built in memory of the late "Baba Elazar" Abuhatzera who was murdered last year.

The Mikvah is already functioning, but the Shluchim need your urgent help:

The electrical system in New Delhi is outdated, there are power outages on a weekly basis which will cause disruptions in the filtering and heating of the Mikvah, therefore the Shluchim want to purchase a backup generator which will serve the Mikvah and guarantee uniterrupted service.

The price of the generator is $8,000 dollars and you can be the one to sponsor it. Contact the local Shluchim at ChabadDelhi@gmail.com
