New York Public Library Flagship Adds Food To Mix

The New York Public Library could soon be one of the hottest lunch destinations in Midtown.
The flagship on Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street is unveiling new food and drink areas inside the building this week.

The two new Wichcraft kiosks will be open for visitors starting tomorrow and will serve up sandwiches, gourmet desserts, and other items served in the larger Wichcraft restaurants.

There will be seating areas around the kiosks, but you won't be allowed to bring food into the reading areas.

Library officials say it's part of a year-long pilot program launched after getting feedback from a user survey.
