LIPA To Cut 4.3 Percent From Electric Bills

The Long Island Power Authority is expected to cut its rates next month.

The utility will slash bills by a record 4.3 percent thanks to the mild winter and falling natural gas prices.

According to Newsday, the cut will drop LIPA‘s rate to their lowest levels in five years.

The reduction will save the average LIPA customer about $6.50 a month.
