Clean clothes stuck in shuttered laundry

People in the Hudson Heights section of Upper Manhattan are looking for answers about their laundry after the Splash Laundromat shut down.

Dozens of bags of clean clothes are imprisoned inside behind a metal gate that's padlocked.

The Department of Buildings ordered the business closed because there were no sprinklers above the dryers -- that is fire hazard.

But the bigger issue for residents is the inconvenience.

We've tried to reach the landlord and the business owner over and over again with no luck.

The city said it was in touch with the business to allow it to reopen long enough to give customers their laundry, but it is not clear when that will happen.
