Fast Thieves Leave Driver Furious In Times Square Heist

A city driver is out of a $70,000 sports car after two quick thinking thieves stole the pricey ride right from under his nose in Times Square this past weekend.

Investigators say the 43-year-old man parked his 2008 black Maserati Gran Turismo at Broadway and 47th Street early Sunday morning.

They say he got out but left the car running when two men asked if they could take pictures of the car.

That's when one of them hopped in the driver's seat and took off, picking up his accomplice on the corner.

The car was last seen making a right turn on West 47th Street towards Eighth Avenue.

Police are still searching for the men.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
