MTA Rolls Out Pay-Per-Trip Billing For E-ZPass

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has introduced a new way for E-ZPass users to pay for their trips.

A new payment plan called E-ZPass Pay-Per-Trip will deduct tolls from drivers' checking accounts on the day the trip is taken.

Unlike other E-ZPass plans, no pre-paid or minimum balance will be required, and drivers won't have to provide a credit card.

The MTA says it is introducing the plan because many people do not like pre-paying for tolls.
