State Sets Up Gas Price Gouging Hotline

The state is making sure New York drivers aren't taken for a ride when it comes to gas prices.
Governor Andrew Cuomo says there is a new gas pricing hotline.

With fuel costs now averaging more than $4 a gallon in the state, Albany officials say they want to protect consumers from price gougers.

State inspectors will be visiting local gas stations to make sure no one is getting short changed.

If you feel you have been the victim of price gouging, call 1-800-214-4372.

Complaints can also be filed by going to dos.ny.gov/consumerprotection and clicking on the "Gas Gouging Complaint" link on the right side of the page.
