New York City’s Population Reaches All-Time High
The city's population has reached a record high, as for
the first time in more than 60 years more people moved into the city than the
number that moved out.
New census estimates put the city's population at 8.3
million.
Since 2010, the population has grown by more than
161,500.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the growth reflects the
city's quality of life and higher life expectancy rates.
