Report: Bike Share Fueling Spike In Tickets, Rider Infractions

Tickets and fines for bike-related offenses have reportedly spiked since the program launched late last month. The Daily News reports tickets have increased 81 percent from last year in Brooklyn areas with docking stations. Tickets in Manhattan areas with Citi Bikes are up seven percent.

Citi Bikes Racking Up The Miles, DOT Says

The Citi Bike program is racking up the miles. The city Department of Transportation says riders have already traveled more than 263,000 miles. There have been more than 90,000 total trips since the program launched May 27.
