Sarah Palin for President? She doesn't get most Alaskans vote

Alaskans have gone rogue.

Sarah Palin, the state's former governor, can't count on the support of her former constituents, according to a new poll.

A Rasmussen Reports survey found 48 percent of likely voters in Alaska said they would not vote for Palin if she ran for President, compared to 41 percent who would, the Huffington Post reported.

Respondents were also sharply divided over whether Palin was good for Alaska's image, the survey of 500 voters found, with only 38% saying her views and activities made Alaska look good and 45% believing they reflected poorly.

Not surprisingly, there was a major divide between state Republicans and Democrats' views of Palin. The poll found 71 percent of Republicans view her favorably, while 88 percent of Democrats in the state give her the cold Alaskan shoulder.

The polling firm gave the margin of error at plus or minus 4.5 percentage points.
