Edison, N.J. - Police search for two men who fled with up to 30 engagement rings


Edison, N.J. - Two men entered a Menlo Park Mall jewelry store, pried open a display case and dashed out with 20 to 30 engagement rings today.

Police said two men wearing hooded sweatshirts entered the Zales store about 10:10 a.m., quickly forced opened the case.

"We don't yet know the value but it's going to be up there," Edison police Capt. Michael Palko said.

The thieves were seen fleeing in a tan sedan with tinted windows, police said.
