Website posts pictures of 'Israeli war criminals'

A pro-Palestinian website likely based in California posted 100 photos of what it claims are high ranking Israeli Air Force pilots suspected of war crimes. The website also noted each pilot's rank, date of birth and ID number. Among the 100 was the photo of one female pilot said to be a 24-year-old colonel.

The website's managers claimed they received the information from an anonymous source. The disclosure of the information is meant to assist in the prosecution of the pilots when they leave Israel.

The website's managers thanked their sources and expressed hope they will be able to provide additional details on the pilots which could then be used against them in court.

The website is supposedly linked to hundreds of human rights groups and claims that its operations extend beyond the US.
  
"Our goal is to challenge Israeli policy and actions that prevent the Palestinians from getting their rights. We adhere to the principles of nonviolence," the website states.

It was further stated that the movement's aim is to guarantee access to all of Palestine. The website endorses sanctions on anyone denying the Palestinians their rights.

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said in response that it is aware of the publication which it said was "full of mistakes and is another attempt by anti-Israel groups to hurt Israel's legitimate right to defend itself through false accusations.
  
"The IDF and the relevant governmental agencies are monitoring all attempts to take legal actions against all those working on Israel's behalf in the war on terror. The IDF will continue to act according to international law."

The soldiers will be briefed on how to maintain their personal security, Ynet has learned.

Germany will compensate Kindertransport survivors $2,800 each

Germany has agreed to compensate those who fled Nazi Germany as children on the so-called Kindertransport with a one-time payment of approximately $2,800 each. The new agreement, negotiated by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany with the German government, comes 80 years after the first rescue transports of children from Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia and Poland to England. The British government had agreed to take a contingent of children under the age to 17 after the anti-Jewish pogrom of Nov. 9, 1938, known as Kristallnacht, made it more clear than ever that Jews in those countries were not safe.
